Materials Engineering Disciplinary Core of the Montevideo Group University Association (AUGM)
The main objective of this nucleus is to promote the academic integration of groups working in the field of Materials Science and Engineering, with particular relevance but uneven development at the Regional level.
To this end, sustained cooperation has been promoted between professors and researchers from different AUGM universities, stimulating the proposal of joint research projects, sponsoring scientific events, and creating the AUGM Materials School, which is itinerant among the member universities of the Nucleus.
The participation of young researchers in the AUGM Young Researchers Congresses and the exchange of students in courses or internships for carrying out research work and postgraduate theses have been encouraged.
The regional integration of the various disciplines involved is greatly facilitated by the exchange of scientific and academic knowledge among all its members.
